The Alcoholics Anonymous East African Convention is a large gathering held in Kisumu, Kenya, for AA members to share their experience, strength, and hope with each other to support their common recovery from alcoholism. The event features speaker meetings, workshops, and fellowship activities focused on the AA's three legacies: Recovery, Unity, and Service.

This year's convention is a hybrid event, meaning you can join us either in person in Kisumu, Kenya, or virtually from anywhere in the world!

  • In-Person: Simply register and join us at the designated convention venue in Kisumu.

  • Online: You can register for online access to join live streams of the main speaker meetings and select workshops. A link to the virtual platform will be provided upon registration.

Registration fees vary depending on whether you attend in-person or online. There is a standard registration fee that covers access to all meetings and convention materials. Optional items, such as special dinner packages for the gala night, are available for an additional cost. For a complete list of prices, please visit the ticket section.

Yes! A variety of convention-themed merchandise will be available for purchase at the in-person venue in Kisumu. Items will include t-shirts, mugs, recovery literature, and special sobriety medallions. We encourage you to visit the merchandise desk early for the best selection. At this time, merchandise sales are limited to in-person attendees only.
